Our clients range from dealerships to their end users nationwide in the South African bicycle and eBike industry. In January 2024, EBikeTec is the first company in southern Africa to be officially granted the agency for BOSCH Ebike Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and expanding business, systems sales and support to all distributors and end users of eBike systems in South Africa.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

​

  • Sales Rep. to provide impeccable service: to provide our customers with the best eBike system service, sales, and support nationwide.

  • Build new and improve existing business relationships. Provide research and execute plans to grow sustainable business and sales nationwide.

  • Provide expert technical advice, and insight and resolve technical or software issues. Provide efficient, reliable support and service, traveling nationwide.

  • Efficient response to end consumer calls for technical, general product support, spare parts, making decisions and actioning warranty cases per company guidelines, and processing returns. Work closely with tech support.

  • Promotes the brand, and achieves business and sales targets.

  • Technical support for the dealer by telephone and email in a confident, friendly manner. Documenting cases in a diagnostic tool.

  • Organize and conduct regional training.

  • Initiates and implements regional communication measures and dealer-specific activities such as local exhibitions, dealer fairs, road shows, etc.

  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of the market and competitive situation and derivation of new product ideas and market opportunities, systems updates & business development.

  • Provides research, identifies development trends, gives feedback, and implements action and innovation.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

​

  • South African Citizen, valid I.D.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Minimum 2 years successful external sales experience, preferably within the Bicycle Industry.

  • Min.: N5/matric. N6 (preferable)

  • Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Digital marketing knowledge (advantageous)

  • Confident and well-spoken:  Excellent verbal written and online communication skills.

  • Knowledge of the bicycle industry.

  • Sound understanding of:

  • -> Seasonal forecasting and reporting -> Bicycle parts and accessories.

  • Customer service skills.

  • Innovative, self-starter.

  • Willing to travel, attend shows, build brand loyalty, is customer-centric.

  • Keeps updated with technical information, updates, and industry trends. Implements action. Fast learner.

PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:

​

  • Basic R20,000.00 (negotiable, based on experience, ability, etc.)

  • Training provided

  • Commission

  • Business tools (e.g. company cell phone, laptop)

  • Company car
